The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV; Central Bank of Vietnam) issued a Global Tender for the supply of polymer substrate for various banknote denominations. SBV issued this one-year global tender to encourage other suppliers.
Q&T HI-TECH POLYMER COMPANY Ltd. (Q&T) - the polymer substrate manufacturer from Vietnam - has been awarded for the polymer supply for three denominations: 20,000 VND (2023); 10,000 VND and 50,000 VND this year.
In 2023, Q&T passed multiple high quality tests from the Vietnam National Banknote Printing Plant.
Before 'Q&T Hi-Tech Polymer Company' joined the banknote / currency industry as a polmyer supplier, CCL Secure was the sole supplier for the polymer substrate to the State Bank of Vietnam. It is the first time that a new supplier won the polymer supply tender
The Supplying Contract is for one year and SBV will continue to issue this kind of tender to ensure the best quality and price.
